Rediscovered "Secrets" and a Message for our times...

I remember the first time I read the Church approved Messages of the Apparitions of Our Lady of La Salette which I found in some forgotten book stuffed in my stack of books, twenty plus years ago. I was flabbergasted to say the least about these shocking messages! In particular the part of the prophetic message which said “Rome will become the seat of the Anti-Christ!” pg. 88 Immediately, I thought how can this be true because scripture states in St. Matthew 16:18 “The gates of Hell will NOT prevail!”. This passage refers to Christ establishing His Church on the Rock of Peter and his successors. So being very disturbed by the messages, I tucked the book back into my forgotten book pile.

As time passed and the world grew colder and more evil, I started remembering those messages. I was wondering if those apparitions were correct, and in particular when I started seeing the Church not standing on the firm Rock of Peter anymore!

I grew up in the “Novus Ordo”, post Vatican II, so I really wasn’t formed properly in my Catholic faith even though I went to Catholic school in my primary years and I never missed a Sunday Mass my whole life. I even attended daily Mass over the years.

Unfortunately, the point is, now I can see this message in full blown motion, and it’s at full speed ahead! When the whole world is looking at the disturbing events perpetually unfold in the world and in the Church, instead of scratching my head at the insanity, I now look to Heaven for solutions. Afterall , Jesus established His Church, gave us His words in the Holy Scriptures and finally He gave us His Holy Mother to protect us and guide us.

It’s so ironic that the apparitions of La Salette are filled with the apostasy of the Church, yet the Church has approved the messages that were given in 1846. Why is this? It’s only by God’s miracle it’s come to light and, more so recently in the new book that was recently published by Holy Water Books The Discovery of the Secret of La Salette: Official English Translation of the Theotokans by Fr. Abbe Michel Corteville and Fr. Rene Laurentin in July 24, 2024. This is just a summary and first part of a 5K page doctoral thesis of Fr. Cortville, who was allowed to access the files on La Salette in the Vatican Archives and make public.

There was always controversy about the messages because they were placed on the Index of Forbidden Books by the Vatican. The more progressive Bishops and Cardinals did not want this message out, so they worked hard to get the message hidden from the public, unfortunately.

The fact of the matter is that this new book, The Discovery of the Secret of La Salette reveals that the approved messages by Bishop Zola, Bishop of Lecce in Italy were true. The book also reveals for the first time, the two letters sent to Pope Pius IX in 1851 in which Melanie, the visionary describes the Secret; it also reveals as authentic the full secret that was published in 1879 with the imprimatur by Bishop Zola.

Here are some of the messages from Our Lady of La Salette:

Our Lady at La Salette told Melanie , “Priests have become a cesspool of impurity. The sins of priests cry out for vengeance and vengeance looms over their heads. Woe to those priests and persons consecrated to God, who by their infidelity and wicked lives, are crucifying my Son again. … Vengeance is at their door.” pg. 84

“The old serpent to cause strife among the rulers, among all social bodies, and in every family.” pg. 88

“Lucifer, with a great number of demons will be unleashed from Hell. They will abolish faith little by little, even in those consecrated to God. They will blind them in such a way that, unless there is a special grace, these persons will take on the spirit of the fallen angels. Various religious institutions will lose the Faith altogether and many souls will be lost.” pg. 85

“The abomination will be seen in the holy places. In the monasteries and convents the flowers of the Church will be putrefied and the demon will establish himself as the king of their hearts.”pg. 86

According to the messages God is going to send a great Chastisement. Rome will be destroyed, Paris will burn and other cities will be destroyed by earthquakes.

In the beginning of her apparitions it is important to note that Our Lady expressed through her tears that she was appealing to God for mankind because so many take God’s name in vain and work on Sundays instead of attending Mass. Those who attend Mass were doing so poorly by mocking it. She indicated that this will result in calamities, including a potato famine in 1846-7 and disease.

Ultimately and more importantly, the La Salette messages reveal Our Lady’s triumph and victory as at Fatima, She said, “In the End my Immaculate Heart will Triumph!” Also Her victory is foretold in Holy Scripture “ I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.” Genesis 3:15

Melanie, the visionary of La Salatte gives these words of Our Lady, “Satan will be plunged forever, with his subjects, into the eternal chasms of Hell. Then water and fire will purify the earth and consume all the works of men’s pride, and all will be renewed: God will be served and glorified! The whole world will be Catholic. Then, until the end of the world the laws will remain Catholic, until little by little men become lukewarm.” pg. 90

“The world will become lukewarm because of a false mercy shown to those who violate the law. Therefore, the good will not be protected anymore.” pg. 101

So how do we respond to all of the evil and chastisements that are to come or already here as prophesied in the messages of Our Lady of La Salette? We listen and obey Our Holy Mother by praying daily, the Holy Rosary that Our Lady gave Her children as a remedy throughout the centuries in many apparitions. We also remain steadfast to Holy Mother Church as it has always been taught, in Scripture and Tradition, and not the progressive “Synodal Church.”

The Early Church Fathers have taught that the Church is also a type of typology of Our Blessed Mother. She is Our Holy Mother and so is the Church aka “Holy Mother Church.” There can be no other Mother, but Our Mother who “birthed” us into eternal life in the sacrament of Baptism. So, by living a truly Catholic life and praying the Holy Rosary, we will help usher in the victory of Our Lady as Our Heavenly Mother has beautifully foretold.

PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF LA SALETTE

Remember, dear Lady of La Salette, true Mother of Sorrows, the tears which thou didst shed for me on Calvary; be mindful also of the unceasing care which thou dost exercise to shield me from the justice of God; and consider whether thou canst now abandon thy child, for whom thou hast done so much. Inspired by this consoling thought, I come to cast myself at thy feet, in spite of my infidelity and ingratitude. Reject not my prayer, 0 Virgin of reconciliation, convert me, obtain for me the grace to love Jesus Christ above all things and to console thee too by living a holy life, in order that one day I may be able to see thee in Heaven. Amen
